The OMRON E3X-DA8-S digital fiber amplifier operates on a 12 to 24 V DC power supply with a maximum current consumption of 65 mA. It features both NPN and PNP analog outputs with a voltage range of 0 to 10 V DC, providing flexibility for integration with various control systems. The response time is configurable between 0.5 ms and 4 ms, allowing optimization for either high-speed applications or stable detection in noisy environments.

The device incorporates a high-visibility 8-digit, 7-segment red LED display that shows both set values and measured values simultaneously. The sensing mode can be selected between standard diffuse reflection, two-color discrimination, or through-beam operation depending on the connected fiber unit. The operating temperature range is -25 to 55°C with storage temperatures from -40 to 70°C. The housing provides IP67 protection against dust and water immersion. The unit supports both timer and counter functions and features a teaching mode for automatic threshold setting. Connection is established through a 4-pin M8 connector, and the compact dimensions allow for high-density mounting in control panels.
